How to spent an evening without doing anything?

Hah, that's simple. Grab a coffee and just lie down on one of the pool side lounge chairs and count the flights on the DFW Air traffic route (I counted 58 flights in half an hour) :)

This is what I did. Pretty cool way to spent an evening.

How passionate are you?

We will be passionate about the things which we like the most. Others might bully you for that reason. But doesn't matter, as long as it is ethical.

I am not a great fan of sports. Never ever tried to watch any kind of sports (never seen a cricket match). However, today I spent 15 minutes of my time, watching a basket ball game. Only to see the passionate and happy faces around.

They are passionate. Really YES!

How to discover Arlington

Quite handy...

I was advised to take a rental car from the day I landed in US. Texas being a largest state in US and there is a shortage of the public transport, traveling around in Taxi is a costly affair. You might end up paying the car rent for a month, on a week travel in Taxi.

So I decided to use the free trolley service to get around the main stops and then use the map to discover the places around. There are 4 trolley service from the main trolley stand. Planned in such a way that I could chain and use the trollies and discover the areas around it.

There was a couple of places where I felt like lost, but the map always helped. Rather than getting tensed, grabbed a drink from a near by store and tried to figure out where I was. Fun and adventure fused weekend.

GPS would have been the best bet in this situation. Unfortunately I didnt take the data plan, which I regret about it now.

I need to find a way out :)

Trying to figure out where I am.

Now I know how to go from here.

AT&T Stadium

Some facts about the AT&T Stadium:
  • Originally known as Cowboys Stadium
  • Fourth largest stadium in the NFL by seating capacity
  • The maximum capacity of the stadium, including standing room, is 105,000
  • World's largest column-free interior and the fourth largest high definition video screen, which hangs from 20-yard line to 20-yard line.
  • Originally estimated to cost $650 million, the stadium's current construction cost was $1.15 billion
  • One of the most expensive sports venues ever built.
  • To aid Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones in paying the construction costs of the new stadium, Arlington voters approved the increase of the city's sales tax by 0.5 percent, the hotel occupancy tax by 2 percent, and car rental tax by 5 percent.

Tried to squeeze in the stadium on camera and I reached at the entrance of Walmart. It is so huge.

Motivation everywhere

Walkways with fan names carved in.

A walk around the stadium

Tired of walking and trying out the clicks now

Cameras are not allowed inside the stadium. So thanks to Wikipedia for the picture.

The Burrito Truck

The Burrito Truck
There is one show on Fox Traveller which I am mad about and Ani hates the most. The Eat Street.

Chipotle
This program features various delicacies served in colorful and vibrant trucks with funky names, which attracts food lovers around. I have seen couple of the episodes which featured Mexican food, the Tacos and Burritos, and I virtually enjoyed it.

On the first day in office, I went out to this truck for lunch and I was excited to meet one of those Eat Street members around. And I loved it for the reason that the Mexican food is the closest one that you can relate to the Indian food. Almost the same genre of spices and the RICE. I got the nearest taste of India on that day.

What I ordered was a Picadillo and a Chipotle.

Picadillo is a burrito roll filled with ground beef and whole lot of spices like garlic, onion, pepper, cinnamon, cloves (Now you know how close it is to the Indian food) etc

Picadillo
The truck owner was suggesting to add salsa to the list, but I never took it. I was so happy with Picadillo that I ate it in a couple of bites.

It tasted very close to the beef cutlet which my mom makes and that brought a lot of nostalgia into picture. Loved the roll.

The Chioptle is a roll with Chicken + all the above spices + some chopped oreganos + rice particles all around. It is heavy and juicy at the same time. Loved each and every bite.

Both are different and delicious at the same time. The truck has some more recipes in the list. Have to try those out next time. The truck loaded with burritos, parked in a gas station, is into my favorite list now.
