Squid Pepper Roast: Kerala Style

Shallow fry the marinated squid for 10 minutes before adding to the masala mix.
Never tried my hands on Squid before. So last time when we went for the shopping, we bought a kg of squid to try it out.

With the assistance from Ani, the Kerala Style Squid Pepper Fry came into existence. 2 hours of marination and the special masala mix, brought out the best squid roast on the table.

My mouth is drooling while writing this post. Have to go and have it, once I press the Publish button :)

Earthen Pot is preferred for this recipe.  For authentic kerala taste, this is a must.

Just Missed - A Wonderful Rainbow View

Ani noticed this while we were back from the church this evening. The rainbow was quickly vanishing away. Immediately I took the cam and tried to click it, but what I got was only few crumbs of it.

A serene and calm evening clouds trailed over us, presenting one of the beautiful evenings of this week.

The Festive Mood At Frazer Town

The plan was so quick to have the dinner out. The first name that came into the mind - Savory Restaurant, Frazer Town.

We had a touch time to get the parking around. The place was so lively and occupied. The Ramadan festive season seems to be in the nerves of the people. The streets were flooded with the food lovers. Kebab lovers moved from one stall to another, to try out the varieties.

While we placed the order and waiting for the food, I took my camera and walked into the streets to capture couple of pics of the feel around. To my surprise, the stall owners were so welcoming. They smiled and posed for the pics. Explained what each dish was and the marination secrets (Ssssssssh).

The stalls opens at 5 in the evening till 11:30PM. So if you are in and around Bangalore, please flash through this wonderful street and enjoy the real festive mood around.

100% Space Utilization

Land is a precious commodity in Bangalore. The real estate flourishes day by day, which makes it less accessible for common people to procure their dream land here.

The above picture is a perfect example for the above statement. People want to utilize every inch of their  hard earned land efficiently. Perfect filling.

Ulsoor Lake Evening

Happen to be at the Ulsoor lake few days back. In the midst of the busy life in Bangalore, people love the lakes and the shades.  Always filled with people, jogging, chatting around, spending time with the family – the lake sides are always alive.

I was walking around with Ani and Isaac, enjoying the evening and the cool breeze that chilled us out.

Isaac was excited the whole time, running around and chasing the birds. I was clicking some pics to capture the beauty of that evening.

The sad part, which everyone has to improve upon in Bangalore, is the cleanliness part. It was sad to see the remains of the famous festival still in the water, unattended, which took away the beauty of the center pond.

Monsoon Meet Up

Actually planned as a farewell for Manoj, it turned out to be a meet up without him and Arun. Glad to have Nadheem and Chaitanya once again at home, along with Abhi, the unexpected guest.

Whenever the meet up happen with them the discussion used to revolve around the college days and the classmates. But this time, it was all about travel. The main discussion: Nadheem's Himachal Pradesh 7 days trekking. Along with it, Abhi's suggestions on North Indian trips and places.

Wonderful moments with the fantastic friends once again.

Landscapes Up The Hill

The entrance to the history. Might had soldiers guarding the doors at those days with canons ready to charge on the top of it.

Nandi Hills is picturesque. With its beautiful landscape alongside the rich history of the majestic rulers of Mysore, is a rich and thick blend. The paths I walked were once the path ways for the soldiers, horses and canons.

Tippu’s summer residence is a lodge, which was completed in the year 1791. The construction of this lodge was started by Hyder Ali and was completed by Tippu Sultan. This lodge was used by the Sultan for taking rest, whenever he comes for hunting at Nandi Hills. Presently this is under the control of Central Archaeological Department.

I was wondering, why the summer palace of a ruler is too small. And got the answer there itself. This place wasn't specifically for his vacation. Was kind of a hide out. Who will think about luxury when his life is at stake.

There was a soldier though, who made sure that no one enters the fort with out a ticket.

Tipu's Summer Palace and Fort - During the Ganga period, the Chikkaballapur chieftains built a fort. Tippu strengthened it further and also build a rest house. This used to be Tippus summer bungalow.
